Today the ‘Blooming’ Shotley Bridge volunteers were replanting the tubs with summer bedding, in a blue and pink colour scheme to celebrate the forthcoming birth of a royal baby.
It was a pity that the violas had to be removed as they were in full bloom, but the geraniums, begonia and lobelia needed to be planted to allow time to grow before the judges from Northumbria in Bloom visit on 18 July.
Beveridges of Ebchester provided the plants again this year.

Well done to the green fingered volunteers your efforts are appreciated!
Tell me will you be removing the ‘wrong’ colour once baby is born or maybe the addition of blue or pink ribbons to highlight the appropriate colour?
