Winter planting

This morning volunteers have been out in Shotley Bridge planting the tubs and troughs with bulbs and violas, which should give a lovely display in spring.

    The village is looking more beautiful than ever. I have so many happy memories growing up there from 1942 until we left for Australia in 1972. Part of my heart is still there, and seeing my mam and dads bench outside the Kings Head would have made them so proud. Many thanks to all those wonderful volunteers.
