Summer Bedding in Tubs

Last Saturday morning was summer bedding planting day. Twenty Village Trust volunteers planted the tubs with deep blue Salvias and orange, red & yellow Begonias. With the sunny outlook it should not be long before the plants are in full bloom, provided they are well watered!

Thank you to all who helped and the five volunteers who worked for 3 days earlier that week in preparing and relocating 10 new tubs to replace those that were starting to fall apart. Without the much appreciated offer from the Crown & Crossed Swords for the use of its garage and electical facilities the task would have been much more difficult.

Love being included in the daily life of citizens- I am on the opposite side of the world and It’s cold in Australia. I am related to the Oley family – a descendant of Ann Oley so feel blessed to have made contact – Helen
