Instead of ‘Best Front Garden’ Awards, the Trust decided to have “Best Hanging Basket’ Awards this year, with separate categories for businesses and residents.
The Northumbria in Bloom judges agreed to judge the baskets and the awards will be presented at the next Open Meeting of the Village Trust in October.

Wow lots of lovely baskets and flowers, they really help to make the village pretty for the summer. Thanks for the photos. All of the flowers and baskets helped to make the village centre look great on Sarah’s photos for the Shotley Bridge promotion feature in June/July in the Living North magazine.

I agree with Pauline the village flowers look beautiful. I so hope the hard work is rewarded with a prize!
Thank you to all those who take care of our lovely village.
