The trees will soon be changing into their autumn colours.

September 4, 2011Britain in Bloom judging
August 3, 2011Yesterday, a Northumbria in Bloom judge, visited the village to assess the Trust’s entry in the RHS “It’s Your Neighbourhood” Awards Scheme.
With members of ‘The Bloomers’ committee he toured the village, within the boundary chosen for the Award. The assessment is based on community participation, environmental responsibility and gardening achievement.
He also helped assess the Trust’s own Front Garden Awards.
Blooming newsletter
July 1, 2011A newsletter, which was distributed at the last open meeting, has now been delivered to residents and businesses within the area that was entered in the Britain in Bloom Neighbourhood Awards.

Flowering tubs
March 30, 2011The recent warm sunny weather is helping the daffodils and pansies to come into full bloom. The 50 tubs have been provided throughout the Conservation Area, with funding raised by the Trust for its Britain in Bloom initiative. Volunteers will replant the tubs with summer bedding at the beginning of June.
SBVT Open Meeting
February 23, 2011The agenda for the next Open Meeting of the Trust on March 8th will include a cheque presentation to Willow Burn, of the money collected during the Victorian Christmas Spectacular in November.
There will also be a short video of the event and photographs of old Shotley Bridge provided by Sarah Thew, as well as a presentation about ‘Blooming Shotley Bridge’, the announcement of a photographic competition and a report from County Councillor Stephen Robinson.
