SBVT Open Meeting

February 23, 2011

The agenda for the next Open Meeting of the Trust on March 8th will include a cheque presentation to Willow Burn, of the money collected during the Victorian Christmas Spectacular in November.

There will also be a short video of the event and photographs of old Shotley Bridge provided by Sarah Thew, as well as a presentation about ‘Blooming Shotley Bridge’, the announcement of a photographic competition and a report from County Councillor Stephen Robinson.

Open meeting on 8th March

The next open meeting of the Trust is to be held on Tuesday 8th March 2011 at Shotley Bridge Junior School.

Refreshments will be available from 7.30pm and the meeting will start at 7.45pm. The agenda has still to be finalised but it will include a cheque presentation to Willow Burn of the money collected during the Victorian Christmas Spectacular and an update about the Britain in Bloom initiative.

Open meeting on 12th October

The Village Trust’s next Open Meeting will  held on Tuesday 12th October in Shotley Bridge Junior School Hall, Snows Green Road.  The venue has been changed to provide better access for disabled persons, which is available from the side entrance.

The meeting starts at 7.45pm, with refreshments served at 7.30pm.

This is a meeting for all members, guests, and any other local resident who would like to find out about the Village Trust or simply join in the discussion.

An agenda will be published in the next newsletter.

Hospital Support Group

September 8, 2010

Shotley Bridge Hospital Support Group now meets every two months in the staff restaurant, near the main entrance.  On Wednesday night the main topic under discussion was the future of the hospital once the Durham and Darlington Primary Care Trust is abolished in 2013.

[Update – As the hospital restaurant closed in February 2016 the Group now meet at the Lodge, Consett & Blackhill Park.]
