Spring Open Meeting

The next Open Meeting of the Trust is to be held in three weeks time on Tuesday 15th March.

Andrew Thompson will be giving a short illustrated talk about the Shotley Bridge Swordmakers. All welcome.

Lit up at last

Tonight the Christmas tree in Shotley Bridge is shining brightly.

There was a slight delay when a car fell off a towing truck just beside the triangle.

Switch on postponed

Due to the adverse weather conditions the switch on of the Shotley Bridge Christmas Tree and carol singing this evening has been CANCELLED.
 
Instead, a smaller event without the Primary School choir, will be held at 4.30pm tomorrow, Sunday 6th December.
 
There will be carol sheets if you wish to come and sing.
 
The weather forecast is quite good.

Switch on time

December 2, 2015

The village Christmas tree has been ‘planted’ and wired up by the County Council in readiness for lighting up on 5th December, this Saturday. Thanks to our local councillors for providing funding again.

Shotley Bridge Primary School choir will be there to sing carols at 4.30pm, followed by the lighting of the tree.

Everyone is welcome to join in.

Raising funds for ‘Blooming’

November 14, 2015

Blooming Shotley Bridge will be raising funds again at ‘The Snods’ Christmas Fair next Saturday 21st November, 10am – 4pm.

Our stall will have both ‘New’ and ‘Nearly New’ items, many suitable for Christmas presents, plus a Tombola and children’s ‘Lucky Dip’

All items have been donated by SBVT members and friends and proceeds will be used to buy bedding plants, bulbs and shrubs for Shotley Bridge conservation area.

‘Shotley Bridge’ pin badges will be on sale, at only £2 each.
