Village Christmas tree

August 12, 2010

A brightly lit community Christmas tree is to be ‘planted’ on the village ‘triangle’  again this year.  It will be lit on Saturday 27th November, to coincide with the Victorian event that day.

County Councillor Stephen Robinson is funding the installation of the tree from his Members initiative fund, and an attractive new fence around it!

Victorian Christmas Saturday

August 5, 2010

Following last December’s very successful Victorian Christmas Weekend, the Shotley Bridge Business and Community Partnership has decided to hold a similar event on Saturday 27th November 2010.

A committee has been formed to organise the event and all businesses and community groups are being encouraged to take part.

Proceeds from this charity event will be shared between Willowburn Hospice and Shotley Bridge Village Trust’s Britain in Bloom initiative.
